There is a free beer bus in SF for brewery crawl every third Wednesday of the month. Over thirty breweries are producing craft beer in the City of San Francisco. With the SF Beer Bus, you can explore neighbor breweries. Hop on and hop off at any stop on a route — all part of the San Francisco Brewers Guild’s monthly Meet the Brewers nights. Bus route changes every month.
This month’s Drink SF Beer shuttle route starts on Portola-based Old Bus Tavern (3193 Mission St.), bringing a full-restaurant option to the Bayview Line in addition to fulfilling the role of July’s official Meet the Brewers host.
Old Bus Tavern opened two years ago, it has a creative list of craft beer favorites showing head brewer Bennet Buchanan‘s range: Lemon Basil Saison featuring Meyer lemon zest and fresh basil; Into the Mild, a classic English Mild and lovely low ABV option; and Chile Porter with both roasted and fresh Poblanos (mild heat and fruitiness, respectively) plus cocoa nibs for chocolatey richness.
The shuttle will be looping nonstop between Old Bus and these Bayview breweries — Ferment.Drink.Repeat, Laughing Monk Brewing Co., Seven Stills Brewery & Distillery and Barebottle Brewing Co. Shuttles run from 6:30-10:30pm, stopping at each venue roughly every 10 min., providing plenty of time to visit the neighborhood and enjoy great beer and food at each of these local breweries.
