The De Young Museum opens its doors to all, free of charge, every first Tuesday of the month. This fine arts museum showcases a regular collection of American art from the 17th through the 21st centuries, international contemporary art, textiles, and costumes, and art from the Americas, the Pacific and Africa.

NOTE: The Hamon Education Tower Observation Deck closes at 4:30 pm (8 pm Fridays from late March through November).

Did You Know? The building’s copper facade is perforated and textured to simulate the impression made by light filtering through a tree canopy, to naturally blend with the de Young’s tree-filled park-like setting.
