The communal bath at the Kabuki is almost as iconic as San Francisco itself. Former SF residents would come back to the city just to spend the day to do the Kabuki bath soak. It is $25 and you can spend the day in this tranquil Japanese oasis.
Kabuki’s communal bath is designed for harmony and relaxation. There is a hot pool, cold plunge, dry sauna, and steam room. You can also enjoy all the complimentary bath products, sea salts, chilled face cloths, and teas.
Women days are Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Men days are Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Coed days are Tuesday (bathing suit required).
The Kabuki bath fills up fast. Book your reservation at least a week in advance. Also, sign up for the Kabuki Club for free to accumulate points for every dollar spent for complimentary baths and services in the future.

Onset is serenity at its best. This space is beautifully designed with a teahouse, a restaurant, and a skylit, plant oasis in the back plus a 104-degree communal soaking tub, a redwood-cedar sauna, a steam room, and cold plunge showers.
Onset follows the Japanese bathing culture. It is an intimate space that provides a restful environment to escape from daily routines. Complimentary bath products and hot tea are included in the soaking experience. It also provides a locker, towel, robe and compostable bag for the wet swimsuit. The bath is $35. Saturday morning is $20. Wednesday is men only. Thursday is women only. Rest of the week is coed with bathing suit required.
Since only about a dozen bathers can be accommodated at once, book early. Make a dinner reservation, too. After you’re all cleaned up, enjoy a menu of Japanese-inspired small plates that are absolutely delicious. The dishes are the creation of Chef George Meza and Sous Chef Alex Razon. Their Menu is seasonal, with a focus on light, enriching local ingredients.You can do the dinner with or without bath reservation.
SenSpa

SenSpa is a five-star luxury resort-style day spa. It is a converted warehouse on the Presidio’s eastern edge near the Palace of Fine Arts holds SenSpa. You can lounge around in a tea garden, nod off by a fireplace, or chill in the eucalyptus steam room. Cozy up in a spa robe. Sip white ambrosia tea while you read a book or nap in one of the four relaxation lounges.

Archimedes Banya is in Hunters Point, but it is worth the travel. It is a unique bathing experience of Greek laconica, Turkish hammam, German thermen, and Russian banya. You have perfectly heated rooms, plunging into an ice-cold pool, enjoying a breathtaking view on a sun-lit deck, and access to tea lounge and delicious meals. $35 for the 3-hour Happy Hour Basic Banya Pass between 12 PM – 4 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays ($42 for other times). You get access to the bath, outdoor decks, relaxation lounge and Zteamer’s – the tea and beer bar and lounge and delicious food choices.
